Oooo...you've hit on a touchy subject. I'm being crushed right now for complaining about the unfair rewards system and about "whales" making hundreds or even thousands of dollar per post and using PAID UPVOTE BOTS to get listed in trending. The platform has amazing potential, but is full of greed at the top that needs to see the long-term damage they are doing by such corrupt practices. We have a small group working to reform things, but it may not succeed, and in the mean time the big fish are downvoting us, destroying our content, wiping out blog entries, the whole enchilada... This despite the fact, Steemit policy is that you can only downvote for specific reasons that do not include spite or revenge.
