I was introduced to Bitcoin around 2013 when it first hit $200. I was curious about the concept of it and its philosophy behind it. Now by no means am I a computer guru, I don't even know how to set up a raspberry pi. I bought my first Bitcoin around $200 and I started preaching about it to my coworkers. They were definitely suspicious about the concept and we often ended up having heated discourse about bitcoin's intrinsic value. My inculcation didn't work. Nevertheless I introduced bitcoin to two of my close friends and they both invested $10,000.
I witnessed the debacle of Mt.Gox and watch the price of bitcoin plummet. I remained poise and so did one of my two friends. Fast forward to 2017, I still have my bitcoins as well other alt coins and they have paid me handsomely. I believe blockchain will transform our world just as internet did 20+ years ago. For those who denigrates crypto currency, imagine you had a share of the internet when it came out, how much it would be worth today. Blockchain will disrupt financial industries, make its footprint in the Internet of Things, and much more. Thanks for reading!
