Introducing Myself

Ciao, Steemit, my name is Ryan and I've been on Steem.it for nearly a month now so I figured it would be a good time to get my introduction out of the way and let everyone know a little about myself.

I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio - sort of a rough blue collar city that prided itself on the glory days during the steel boom in America. Youngstown is known for great people, great athletes, and great mobsters. I like to think the Youngstown fabric in my DNA is the reason that I've been able to overcome some of the adversities i've faced in life. After high school I moved to Columbus, Ohio. It was always my childhood dream to get a degree from The Ohio State University, so that was the next goal to naturally undertake.

After many ups and downs at university I graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. While at Ohio State I found a true passion in economic theory. I started reading the great works of the Austrian School of Economics which led me down the road to becoming a very staunch Libertarian. Furthermore, I would read more and more of the Austrian great thinkers, namely, Ludwig von Mises and Murray Rothbard and become an anarcho capitalist/voluntaryist.

After I finished school I worked briefly for an insurance company in Columbus and then packed my bags for a job in Cincinnati to manufacture plastic oil bottles. I produced oil bottles for nearly two years and then decided it was time to head back to Youngstown to pursue my entrepreneurial dreams.

Last February I started my first business. I sell books on Amazon which has been very successful thus far. I love that being my own boss means that i'm solely responsible for my destiny. I'm also very active in this community now and want to spread the Steem blockchain which I believe has great potential. I'm quite sure people will continue to adopt Steemit sooner than later. I've always had a nice ability to pick a winner and was one of the first on Facebook, I can recognize the same trends I recognized early on in facebook in Steemit today.

I'm glad to be a part of this community now and look forward to sharing my writing about many subjects but particularly cryptocurrency with everyone here.
