Hello Steemit! My name is Pritesh. I am a QA Engineer and occasional Coder form Gujarat, India.

12:07 AM 1/26/2018

I was waiting for my confirmation mail from Steemit for a week. Truth to be told i was loosing patience but i am grateful that i just got confirmed on one day prior to my beloved country India's republic day and decided to start my journey with this amazing platform on this special occasion. [ It's Just past after 00:10 so it's officially Friday ] _ \('.')/ _

A little bit information about Republic day of India to all of my future friends on Steemit :

India became independent on 5th August 1947 , but it was still a constitutional monarchy with King George VI as the head and Earl Mountbatten as the Governor General.

Almost two and a half years later after gaining independence on 5th August 1947 ,
the Constitution of India came into effect on 26th January, 1950, making India one of the most populous democracies of the world.
It is the day when monarchy was demolished from the country. On 26th January 1950, India was declared a sovereign, socialist, democratic republic and the Constitution assured the citizens of India justice, equality and liberty.

Now let me introduce myself

resized_IMG_20180125_204933.jpg

I have a Master’s degree in Computer Applications. I am a QA Engineer and occasional coder.

During my bachelor and Master’s degree , I used to teach about computer basics and Programming to the newbies for free.

Teaching was actually One of the turning points in my life. In my small town Jetpur, Gujarat IN, bachelor education is a big thing as not everyone can afford the higher fees. So, if parents had more than one child then only one would be able to go to college.

These situation is understandable but it is still painful and I just had to do something about it. So, in summer vacation of 2010 i started my own computer classes in my own home with only 1 computer system.

I used to teach in vacations and weekends and was able to help around 40+ student in 5 years.I continued teaching until i moved to another city permanently. I know that teaching 40 something students is not much but still it's something that I will always be proud of.

That takes me to my armature blogging. recently i got into the data science and big data technologies. So, i started searching for some Free online resources. Most of the resource / courses i found that was Advertised as a Free Courses but most of them turned out to be a Trials and after those trials price was too high that i couldn’t afford it.

So it popped to my head to start a sort of a listing blog which will have a collection of all the free available resources. So, I started blogging about it at Online Free Courses

Online Free Courses [ is a relatively new blog. so if you could spare some time then please check it out. i would really appreciate some reviews and guidance. :) ]

This blog has no particular schedule. I upload content when I have time and when I have a strong opinion about a topic, article or a broader theme. I mostly list down content about free courses in technology, online marketing, productivity.

Facebook page for the blog : Online Free Courses

Okay, so that was about my teaching and blogging.

And at last a Special thanks to the @johnelder-org

I recently learned about this great platform by taking one of his course on Udemy

@johnelder-org you did a great job at explaining every aspect of the platform. I binge watched entire course in one sitting.

Just FYI , while I waited for the steemit confirmation I started randomly browsing through steemit and learned great few new things which I will be posting in separate post as this post is solely for my Introduction and I need time to formalize week worth of content.

I am so excited to getting to know all of you and contribute to this community as much as I can.

And at last , since my country is celebrating it's Republic day today , i am going to finish this post with one of my favorite quote by Freedom fighter Bhagat Singh

The sanctity of law can be maintained only so as long as it is the expression of the will of the people

With Love,
Pritesh
