Do people on Steemit realize what the true value of Steemit is?
Looking into Steemit and what it offers, a lot of people seem to think its value lies in direct rewards for content creators. That is not Steemit's true value though.
It's true value is that it offers quality content. Because the barrier for likeing of commenting on a post is higher then on Facebook, Youtube or Reddit, the shit posts will be separated from the quality posts in a much quicker pace. Which means that you will find the information you are looking for much faster. Great comments are rewarded and thresh talk will only cost money.
Besides that, it also counters fake news, as reputations are build up one knows if he or she can trust the source of the information.
Ofcourse Steemit will need to grow and adjust as it will encounter a lot of different problem, but the base has been made and I think it's solid.
Oh, why did i join Steem it? For the money ofcourse!
