Birthday of the Day! 💖💖💖

Minuhang, Barugo, Leyte, Philippines

Early dawn of July 27, 1986 a healthy baby girl was born. She was named Ria as followed the name of her grandmother Maria (Ma is omitted and she was named Ria).

It was August 16, 1986 that the baby girl was baptized at the Minuhang Church during the celebration of the Feast of St. Roque (the Patron Saint of Minuhang Church)

As the baby girl grows, she never experienced of celebrating a birthday party because her parents can't afford a birthday party even just a cake that the little girl wish for. A simple lighting a candle in the Church and offering prayers is always what she do in celebrating her birthdays.

Even her family struggling much financially for her studies and her siblings. She finished her grade school, finished her high school and finished her college with some academic awards.

After a week from her college graduation, she got a job in Cebu City, Philippines. At first, she's not comfortable being away from her family. She always felt homesick. But she never let her feelings control her. She always thinks of her family and siblings who needs her help and support. She almost gave everything she had for her family. She helped financed studies of her siblings.

The baby girl is now a grownup lady. She called herself "Shikika". Before, shikika means to her as a young simple lady with a loving heart. But now, it means to her that "Shikika is a grown strong woman with a loving heart."

Shikika visited home occasionally only, like Christmas, Feast of St. Roque, Birthdays and other special occasions.

July 2017

Shikika went home for her birthday celebration. She is happy everytime she go home. Her wish of having a cake with a candle to blow during her birthdays when she's still a child is now a wish come true. 😀💖

And a bonus of receiving a birthday cards.😀💖

Another bonus of receiving birthday gifts from her nieces. They are so sweet with sweets!😀😀😀

Simplicity is her happiness! 😀

Shikika and Ria is a same person. And that is me! 😀😀😀
