Hello all! I am a 20 something located in the Pacific Northwest of the US. And before you start, I hate my country's president more than you ever could. Trust me.
I've spent my whole life being told how amazing my stories are so I decided to make a go of it. I have a degree in English and one in Business. Focused on oversee's markets specifically Korea, Japan and China. That being said, I don't recommend a degree in English as you can do just about zero with it.
But that is why I'm here. I'm a writer. A friend showed me this new platform and I figured, hey, why not?
My writing on here maybe a bit more raw and unrefined as I don't plan on showing it to my family (a.k.a. My editors and biggest fans). You, my new friends, will be my brand new sounding board. You will know things about me that others don't, and see peeks into my writing style that no one else ever has.
Now here's a tidbit. I used to write daily; my own novels or fanfics from my favorite series. Then I went to college and learned my writing was, A) not good enough and B) similar to every other hopeful's that several of my professors had came across. This new knowledge changed something in me; made me stop writing. For a few years now I've seen writing as a chore rather than something I previously lived for.
But I'm hoping this new platform will get me back to loving writing rather than dreading.
I used to write stories/scenes for friends and classmates. Mostly lemons. And all in the world of their choosing. A lot of Harry Potter, Ann Rice, X-files and Firefly. I'm not sure if there's a need for that on here, but maybe I can try.
Comment if that is something you'd be looking for? I read the rules and I don't think it's against the rules. Haha. Anyone know for sure?
I'm not sure what else to say except a few cliches.
My family is close. My sister is my best friend. She uses me as her life size Barbie. Here's a 40's style make up she wanted to try and a cracked porcelain doll make up style.
I have a couple pets (pics to come if anyone's interested)

It was one or two professors who I thought were amazing, but didn't really like fantasy/fiction writing, but had to teach it, and were tired of reading the same type of stories I'm guessing....It was taken out on me due to the closeness of our relationships. I've been writing for a while, and have a book and stories published, and I can still recall any negative comments on my work. It gets easier over time, for sure, but that's why it's important people giving feedback are constructive. It stings!

I've followed you and will cheer your ups and downs. I have a love/hate relationship with all places "blahggish" -- it's a journey for sure.
Keep in mind that whatever you write here will be a "forever" sort of thing. So that "raw" and "unfiltered" will be a joy and a royal pain the u no wut when you're 80.
