While I have your attention, what's the dental insurance like in Poland? Do you have ambitions of becoming a dentist?
In the U.S. it's quite shocking that the suicide rate of dentists is extremely high. It's actually quite sad; because, they do so much for the emotional well-being of many. Unfortunately, affording a dentist is quite the LUXURY for many, as costs are often astronomical for most.
This might explain the suicide rate in a strange way. Perhaps, they are forced to see in everyday life, the number of people who need dental help; but, can't afford the vast medical costs...knowing they could help; while at the same time, not being able to...
After spending thousands, people of all ages, including their 20s, resort to dentures for ~5K. How 'bout in Poland, how much would one pay for a full set of 'new' teeth?
Best regards.
Peace.
I hope I will :)
Polish dental insurance is quite poor. Only basic treatments and restorations are included. Most people must pay quite serious money to get nice teeth. But it's all about what restoration they want. As for treatments, prices aren't enormous, but they're not attractive neither. Although our Western European neighbours, Germans mostly, often come to Poland to get new teeth.
Your conclusion about U.S. dentist suicide rate is interesting, making dentists really emphatic and sensitive people. That they aren't just focused on accumulating bigger and bigger wealth. In Poland many dentists just want to make money, then help people. If a dentist is making permament restoration such as crown, he often persuades his patient to pay for more expensive materials or technology which aren't much better. Fortunately, there are also dedicated dentists :)
I thought about studying dentistry once, maybe I should do it, but now it's a bit late for me to start. I need to earn money for my family, can't afford to study.
Full set of new teeth ? Depends. Is it removable or permament ? What they are made with ? By saying full set you mean teeth for jaw and mandible or single ?
Thanks for replying, here's a picture of one of my first skeletal protesis ( just metal framework)

In the U.S., I think it’s more about having astronomical student debts on graduating that causes this. Most dentists seem to love the work/results of what they do.
I was speaking of what 40 million people wear…dentures. It sounds like exorbitant dental costs are a global issue.
In the West a full set of implants run about $30K. Similar to Germany, many people go to Mexico to get significant savings on U.S. costs.
Quite impressive.

Again, dentures on implants aren't equal in cost :)for single implant surgery you have to pay about $1K. Single point ( crown ) made on such implant costs additional $400-$600. So let us have 6 implants in upper jaw and a 14 point bridge ( that means 14 teeth ), it gives us about $12K. Including lower jaw (mandible) it's about $24K then.
Here's a picture of what I'm talking about
Picture isn't mine though :)

That's relatively comparable to US prices; and, a fair price considering it's considered a cosmetic procedure on insurance costs.
Thanks for your reply; and, best regards as you embark on your dental career.
Peace.
