Hi steemit!
I'm an artist who has joined to discuss astrology, politics, current events, and some other topics peppered in:
Astrology: Tying it in with politics, the natal chart and transits of the USA, and some Trump tidbits. For those interested: I'm Scorpio Sun, Virgo Moon, Gemini AC.
Politics/Current events: I don't associate with a specific party, but I find myself most often agreeing with Libertarians. I am accepting of all who are respectful, whether we agree on issues or not.
Food: Love to cook, and strive to eat healthy more often than not. I still have a sweet tooth and love baking.
An attempt at making Nime Chow:
Nature/Animals: Love to see images from all over the world. I aspire to someday travel. I am a HUGE lover of the bug world, especially spiders. I photograph insects and spiders as a very amateur hobby. I have a pug who turns 11 years old on April 4, the day after my late Mom's birthday. Aries love! He's an affectionate little goofball and makes me laugh every day.

Videogames: Been hooked since all the amazing SNES RPGs of the 90s. Currently more into online games: casual Smite player (arena mostly), also love Friday the 13th Game. I like scary games, but they also really, really scare me, haha.

I have recently decided to move over here, replacing Twitter with steemit and Youtube/Twitch with D.tube/Dlive. After watching Youtube crack down on many of my favorite channels and Twitter suspend/ban many accounts I followed, I had enough of the censorship and abuse of first amendment rights. This is a graphic I made and posted to Twitter to share with others my reasons for leaving the "legacy" platforms:
I haven't made any videos yet but it's in the works, currently trying to learn the basics of Adobe Premiere in between juggling other projects.

Hey there girl, I'm Oatmeal Joey Arnold, and I love your photos, you are beautiful, I love art, I like to draw, sing, film, and I love natural remedies and I eat garlic each day.
My question for you: some say there are twelve astrology signs and some say there are thirteen: and what do you think? For me, I was born 1985, Feb. 11, which according to the 12 signs module, makes me Aquarius, the water sign, as in crazy or awesome, haha, which explains why I'm Oatmeal. But under the 13 signs module, I'm something starting with the letter T or S maybe.

I have heard some people talk about a 13th sign but 12 makes sense to me. The astrological signs all correlate with different constellations, but when looking at an astrological chart, the truth is the constellations don't always stay in the signs they associate with. For example, in an astrology chart. the star Antares of the Scorpio constellation is found in 9 degrees Sagittarius instead of in Scorpio. Aquarius is usually seen as a quirky, eccentric, friendly and very logical sign. There are also many factors in a natal chart that can aspect our personalities. I believe the other sign you would be, based on 13 signs, is Capricorn, which is seen as more serious, business-oriented and authoritative.

Wow that must burn! But sounds very healthy! I have made tea with lemon, honey and raw garlic while sick, and after a while it kinda grew on me.
Yeah I think for most people all the signs are somewhat relatable, we usually have planets in at least a few signs in our natal charts.

Yeah, it can sting and it can also feel so good too. No pain, no gain. No oatmeal, no honey. No garlic, no funny haha. No recovery haha. Old people eat garlic. But why wait haha? How are planets connected to the signs? Do I get a planet? I was born in 1985 which I think was the year of the buffalo. So, I know about the animal of the year thing. Haha, sounds like you eat garlic the way I eat lemons. I love them as is, no sugar or dilution needed.
In a way you do get a planet, because based on your natal chart there will usually be a planet that is in a strong position. For example, the planet Mars is associated with the themes of Aries, so if Mars was in Aries when you were born, it would suggest that you have a strongly placed Mars. Does that sort of make sense?
Then if you know the place and time of day you were born, you can also figure out the "houses" in your chart, which is a way to divide the chart up into 12 sections other than the astrology signs. The houses are determined by the time of day you were born, and the beginning of the first house is called the "ascendant," which represents what was on the east horizon the moment you are born.
