So, I'm a writer, which usually prompts people to ask me what it is I write, and I reply everything, that's why I said 'writer' and not 'poet' or 'journalist' or something specific, and they sort of raise their eyebrows at me like they're not sure that's allowed, but whatever, all they wanted was to make a bit of small talk, and I've ruined it for them.
Oh, also, call me El.
I'm 19 years old, and Irish, though I'd love to take one of those DNA tests to see what else I am. Not the one Mark Zuckerberg's wife runs, though. They know enough about me already.
I'm a major introvert, so this jaunty wit only shows up in the written word, I'm afraid. Should you encounter me in person, I will disappoint. Am I sorry? Hardly. This does mean I love spending days upon days in complete solitude, which can be annoying if you're waiting for me to respond to a text. I get social hangovers a lot, which can be frustrating, and make me feel like I'm letting friends and family down. But it's a goal of mine to become more accepting of this quieter side of myself, and to start using it to my advantage, rather than considering it a hindrance all the time. I really recommend reading Debbie Tung’s “Quiet Girl in a Noisy World” if you’re an introvert or trying to understand an introverted person. Her instagram is @/WheresMyBubble!
I am a particular fan of the YA genre, for reasons I will explain in detail at a later date, because I love gushing about it. Favourite authors include; John Green, Maggie Stiefvater, Leigh Bardugo, Kiersten White, Jerry Spinelli, David Almond, Cornelia Funke, Timothèe de Fombelle, Natsuki Takaya, David Levithan, Jandy Nelson, and, like, others I can't remember right at this moment in time. I consider a lot of my favourite book characters close friends of mine (it's perfect because they’re the least socially demanding people out there).
Is that enough? Do you know enough about me now? You’ll see more in my writing. Even if I mean to or not. Words are funny that way.

Its only in your own company that you can really get a hold of your thoughts. I love my friends but i love to get away from them too.

Yes, exactly! Without solitude the thoughts are just a blur. I'd be lost without my friends but I'd be lost without my alone time, too!
