Hi, I just started here in steemit basically because I believe i've grown beyond the big 3 social media and am now looking for a better - perhaps just different - social outlet. I'm an abstract / reflection photographer and folk abstract painter whose found his 'voice' and love sharing it. I'm also a wide-eyed liberal living in Asheville, NC who grew up in the suburbs of our nation's capital, pleasantly and firmly married, with a poetic bent.
So, to start off, I'd like to show some photos and maybe say a few more things to a new community - and like a new pair of pants - see how it fits. Find whether my hands fit the pockets.
I'm still on Facebook and Instagram, and will probably wander around quite a bit for before i settle down here.

To quote Zapp Brannigan, "Once again we meet at last." This will be my biggest project ever! I've been hush hush about it for many reasons but now, it's time to start letting Schrödinger's cat out of the box. More to come. Love this place. You get paid to post, and get money to give to other creators by up voting! Pretty sure how much you get to give depends on how many steemit tokens or power you have and I still have yet to figure that out.

So glad to see you on here, Zen. These photos are extraordinary. What a funny word that is. Just realized that. Let's call them exceptional then. It's nice to see a bulk of them together without having to wade through FB. I so rarely look there anymore. Anyway, welcome. I hope you love it here. It's such a loving and supportive community. There's a ton of fabulous artists on here. I am sure you will find them.
