Welcome to Planet Matt

So, this being my introduction and first time using Steem, I will take this opportunity to tell you a little bit more about myself. Obviously, my name is Matt (we will just leave it at that, just Matt), 43, twice divorced with 1 daughter who is the light of my life. I have a pretty cushy job working with the mentally ill..cushy in that it affords me the time to do stuff like this. It's not always easy work, but it has it's rewarding moments.

My purpose for being here on Steem is to hopefully impart some wisdom of what little I know of the world, possibly to entertain with humorous stories or philosophical ramblings or what have you. I've done a thing or two in my 43 years, maybe none of it is all that important to the world, but it has shaped who I am. I have been impacted by some great people and have impacted a few others along the way. Will my musings impact you? There's no telling at this point. All we are trying to do is make some sense of this crazy world, myself included. If somehow, some way I have left some kind of lasting impression on you, or have even made you laugh out loud, or even made you angry and you're ready for a civilized debate, please let me know.

Some of the many topics that interest me, and I may be writing about are politics, philosophy, economics, sports, and gaming. Sometimes I may find myself just rambling about not too much in particular, using this forum as a means of destressing and meditating. Some of you may agree with my views on politics or philosophy or whatever. While I don't require approval from any of you, it is appreciated, as well as the disapproval, it won't make or break my day. I am learning to take it all in stride.
