Welcome members of the SteemIt world.
As this is the first posting of mine, I hear that it is a common practice to have this be an introductory post. Therefore, that is what I will do. I have been granted the title TheACA. I had wanted it to be The Agnostic Conservative American, but it seems that there is a limit to how long a name can be. As such, TheACA will do just fine.
I am sure that many of you can guess what things I am interested in, American politics, religion of various types, and good (civil) arguments. All will be welcomed with a splash of randomness thrown in every now and then for good fun.
The reason this has been slow coming is that I am currently working two jobs, and after long days with crazy people, I don't have much excitement to deal with the world of social media. However, as I will be running for public office later this year, I have to get in the practice of using social media more often. NOTE: This will not be an account that is directly related to my campaign, this account will be personal and deal with issues that are larger and broader than my attempt to earn a seat in my State's legislature.
The reason that I say that this post has been slow in the making is that a gentleman that I follow on Twitter also posts on Steemit and near the end of last year was prompting others to join and post for themselves. I responded that I'd start an account in the new year, because of the effects it might have on my income taxes. Then around late January or early February, I signed up. Here it is coming to the end of March and I'm only now writing my first post. Yeah, it's been in the works. Also, if I can figure out how to link to his Steemit account, I'll be sure to give Forex Broker a proper shoutout. If not, search him out and if possible "BTMFD."
That being said, there will also be the occasional post about various cryptos that I'm interested in, hodl, or would like to have. I'm still kicking myself for not selling Ripple (XRP) when it was over $3.30 USD, but I'm still in the green and the price is holding fairly steady between $0.65 and $0.75 these last few weeks. However, if you want predictions, go look elsewhere. I believe in blockchain tech, but will Bitcoin rule supreme, will this or that flipping ever happen, these things are not mine to say. The world of social media is much larger than MySpace ever was, smart phones have changed the world both because of and after BlackBerry, but still, the world moves on.
This seems like a good ending point for today. Next time, the math joke that led me from being an atheist to an agnostic.
