This "What if Character Gains/Learns Powers and Moves from the Other Characters" Meme originally belongs to MagicalKeyPizzaDan dedicated to all of my friends, fellow artists, fans, and brethren who are admirers of Jason Lee Scott, Trini Kwan, Billy Cranston, Kimberly Ann Hart, Zack Taylor, Tom Oliver, Tommy Oliver both during his tenures as the Green and White Rangers, Inuyasha, Ayame, Ginta, Shunran, Hakkaku, Shuran, Sesshoumaru, and of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and of Inuyasha in general. Sit back, relax, and be intrigued with how the Inurangers of Tokyo acquire the Power Rangers of Angel Grove's skills, abilities, and moves.
Take seven Japanese yokai warriors and seven American martial arts superheroes and you have a power exchange that the world can never afford to miss. I am not only talking about physical skills, such as super strength and peerless combat prowess, but also personal traits, such as courage, valour, and loyalty. Although the Inurangers and the Power Rangers bear varying degrees of strength, one attribute remains, and that is their unbridled courage which will never fail them. This power exchange can go both ways, for the Inurangers shall bear the Power Rangers' heightened martial arts prowess, while the Power Rangers shall bear the Inurangers' supernatural powers.
Tommy's and Sesshoumaru's growth as characters can never be taken for granted not only as the breakout characters of their respective series but also as warriors and as individuals. Where Tommy commenced the series as a lone wolf with exceptional martial arts skills who was brainwashed by Rita Repulsa and her goonies before becoming the sixth ranger, he grew in physical and mental strength to the point where he became the White Tigerzord Ranger from the later part of Season 2 all the way up to Season 3, thus assuming leadership status. Sesshoumaru began as a xenophobic, proud, egotistical warrior who hated humankind and those he deemed below him. However, throughout the series, he undergoes a rather latent growth when it came to reviving Rin with his Tenseiga and finding his own path as a warrior when he ended up acquiring Bakusaiga. It also helps that both Tommy in his tenure as the White Tigerzord Ranger and Sesshoumaru have powerful swords that have become a part of their individual identities, thus shaping them to be the warriors that they are. In the process, Sesshoumaru would end up acquiring Tommy's White Tigerzord Ranger powers, heightened martial arts skills, and even have both Tenseiga and Bakusaiga have parts of Saba's soul ingrained into them, while Tommy would end up inheriting Sesshoumaru's heightened strength, stealth, speed, and even Poisoned Claws, thus making him even more formidable. Overlooking their physical power exchange, Sesshoumaru would end up becoming slightly more sanguine and humble like Tommy, while Tommy would end up becoming more focused and determined. There is no doubt that Tommy's and Sesshoumaru's power exchange would help both of them grow as warriors and as individuals.
Tom, let alone Tommy's tenure as the Green Dragonzord Ranger, and Shuran may have started on the wrong side of the road, but they did realise the errors of their ways and repented from their wrongdoings. When the Green Dragonzord Ranger was revived as Tommy's clone/distaff counterpart/twin brother Tom, he longed to destroy Tommy under the Wizard of Deception's command. However, after Tommy destroyed the Wizard of Death, Tom realised that his wrongdoings bore serious consequences and joined forces with his clone/counterpart/twin brother. Shuran made his debut as one of the Panther Deva siblings who sought vengeance on Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha after their master, the Panther King, was annihilated by Toga the Dog General. He and his siblings were sure of an easy victory when Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha had their skirmish. However, the Panther King betrayed them by stealing his and his younger sisters' powers, only for Sesshoumaru to use his Tenseiga to revive him and his younger sisters, and Inuyasha to use Tessaiga to destroy the Panther King. Although Shuran and his sisters repented and turned a new leaf, they were never seen again, which was a shame because they could have been allies/recurring characters. As Tom and Shuran come face to face with each other, they would learn to realise that they have a lot more in common than they think. In fact, this power exchange would demonstrate balance and synergy in terms of their physical skills and their psychological capacities. Tom shall inherit Shuran's boundless strength, lightning powers, and bold fierceness, while Shuran shall inherit Tom's speed, agility, and lightning fast reflexes. Personality-wise, Tom would become a whole lot more gutsy and take-charge in his approach to combat, while Shuran would be a whole lot more calm and calculating in his approach to encountering new challenges.
Zack and Hakkaku may be affable, hilarious, charming, and jovial souls, but they are never to be underestimated, for they are formidable fighters with sufficient strength and agility to take down their enemies. They are also the bearers of fiercely loyal souls who will never abandon their friends and will always be by their sides. While Zack's physical abilities are more out on the open as his skills as a martial artist and dancer as well as the Black Mastodon Ranger, Hakkaku occasionally shows that he can be just as strong of a fighter, given that he does have skills in grappling, kickboxing, and bare-knuckle brawling. Their power exchange can also aid both Zack and Hakkaku become more aware of each others' strengths and weaknesses, thus building each other up in ways they could never imagine. Zack would inherit Hakkaku's heightened strength, agility, and ability to track and hunt, while Hakkaku would inherit Zack's great Hip-Hop-Kido skills, thus making him a whole lot more flexible and strong in the face of adversity. Zack and Hakkaku would, therefore, benefit from each other in ways that would help them grow physically and mentally.
Nothing says pretty in pink than when Kimberly and Shunran exchange their powers. Kimberly and Shunran demonstrate that feminine elegance and valorous combat prowess do not have to be independent from one another, but they actually compliment each other in a beautifully miraculous way. While both these young ladies have their moments of bubbly ditziness, it is only a perfectly fashioned veneer for what both Kimberly and Shunran are truly capable of. With Kimberly as the Pink Pterodactyl Ranger, she can use her skills as a gymnast, martial artist, and complete athlete to escape from any sticky situation. Shunran's illusions, flexibility, agility, and tactics can make her foes fall on their knees. Joining Kimberly and Shunran together is akin to the universe uniting two soul sisters to realise how profound their bond actually is. Kimberly would pass on her skills as a combat gymnast and as the Pink Pterodactyl Ranger to Shunran in order for her to grow as a fully fledged fighter. Meanwhile, Shunran, knowing that Kimberly has a penchant for gardening, flowers, and nature, would pass on her skills in creating cherry blossoms and other flowers to her and would even advise her to use her powers wisely. Aside from their powers, Kimberly would also influence Shunran to enjoy the simpler and finer things in life while also making her more open to various creative activities that would help her channel her energy into something productive. In return, Shunran would aid Kimberly in becoming more crafty, clever, and aware of her surroundings in order to heighten her sense of cunning whenever she is stuck in a sticky situation. Kimberly and Shunran would further appreciate how much a sense of cunning and cleverness can change the world around them.
Billy and Ginta may be the kindest gentlemen anybody would ever meet and have the pleasure of hanging out with. However, should anybody be so brazen to deceive them and/or put their friends in danger, this brainy Blue Triceratops Ranger and this wolf yokai warrior are going to make their foes suffer. Billy's scientific intellect beautifully compliments his tactician capabilities and innovativeness when it comes to curating situations that would be at his friends' and allies' favour as well as his skills as a gymnast that demonstrates that he is equally capable of floating like a gentle butterfly but stinging like a vicious wasp, considering his metamorphosis from nerd with hidden formidability in Season 1 to becoming more confident and physically strong in Season 3. Ginta's physical skills as a wolf yokai warrior has made him fully aware of his natural surroundings as a hunter, gatherer, fisher, and tracker, although his skills as a combatant could be more fully fleshed out. With one influencing the other, Billy and Ginta could unlock each others' true potential. Given Billy's intellect, he could aid Ginta in becoming more of a strategist while helping him out in any subject he has severe difficulty in, especially the STEM subjects. Ginta, on the other hand, would aid in Billy's quest to realise that life is more than just numbers and figures, as he immerses himself into the wild, learning how to hunt, gather, fish, and use his bare hands to take down opponents while heightening his awareness of his surroundings and further honing his senses. This synergy of brain and survival tactics coming together would make Billy and Ginta far more than the sum of their parts.
Formidability, honour, courage, hope, determination, dedication, and valour are the cornerstones of Trini's and Ayame's lives as warriors and as individuals. As the Yellow Sabre-Tooth Tiger Ranger, Trini combines the fierceness and strength of her spirit animal with the grace and beauty of a crane. As the Northern Yoro Tribe's warrior princess, Ayame has lion-like strength and gazelle-like agility to protect her tribe and defeat her enemies should they be so brazen to invade her home. Trini and Ayame would have a power exchange so profound that they would both benefit from each other as warriors with a lot to give in the world as well as loyal souls who use their fortitude to protect the ones they cherish. Trini would provide Ayame with grace, focus, concentration, and accuracy to ensure that her combat skills are far more honed. Ayame would provide Trini with more fierceness, heightened physical fortitude, speed, and quick reflexes to tackle bigger monsters. Furthermore, Trini would help Ayame develop a deeper sense of compassion, kindness, and unconditional love while Ayame would encourage Trini to speak her mind a whole lot more, further embrace challenges with open arms, and remain determined as ever. Together, these two would grow stronger in their skills as fighters and in their individual lives.
Red is the colour of valour, courage, strength, fierceness, passion, leadership, and stamina when Jason and Inuyasha don this particular colour, especially with Jason as the Red Tyrannosaurus Ranger. Given their combined strength and courage, Jason's and Inuyasha's power exchange can further accelerate their growth and development as warriors who are unafraid to make their enemies tremble while providing protection, fierce loyalty, and fortitude to their friends even when the chips are down. Jason's prowess as a complete athlete, combatant, and tactician plus his Red Ranger powers would provide Inuyasha the formidability and courage he needs to lead his team with courage and stamina while showing him that he should never let his status as a hanyou get him down. Inuyasha's supernatural powers in terms of his super strength, sharp claws, and even his full yokai blood could heighten Jason's strength, speed, and stamina to the point where he would feel a whole lot more alive than ever before, especially in battle. Physical strength and stamina aside, Jason and Inuyasha would keep on challenging each other to grow in interpersonal strength, confidence, high self-esteem, and achieving goals that they never thought they could reach in their wildest dreams. When it comes to how Jason and Inuyasha grow as fighters, they certainly do an exceptional job at encouraging each other to never surrender and give more than 150 percent.
The Inurangers and the Power Rangers' power exchange is not only based on a physical level where both parties become stronger, but it also based on interpersonal growth to become better people who are more than just a sum of their parts. Both parties would even encourage each other to never settle for anything less while also ensuring that honour, duty, courage, determination, inspiration, fortitude, and hope remain as the hallmarks of their codes as warriors and as individuals.
