The power of 72

Everyone should know and utilize the power of 72. Take the interest rate you make on your investment and dived it into 72. That is how many years it will take to double your money. When you see the charts it is staggering how much money you end up with because of compound interest. Show your children that even $50 a week invested at a rate of 8% return would equal $1,001,605 after 45 years. Not everyone can afford $50 per week but the key here is invest at a young age. Keep putting money away every month, 20170623_092416.pngand you will retire very happy.20170623_092351.png

Yes 72 is really useful to get dirty calculation quick in head. Quickly work out how much time you need to double the money.

What about the power of 3, 6 amd 9?

Interesting. Still we've got a problem now here. The interest rate is way too low at the moment.

Everyone is so afraid of a stock market crash. Good mutualfunds will do alright over ling periods of time. Yes if you are over 50 years of age the market is risky and you are probably looking at a 5 to 6 percent annuity. But if your tome horizon is 20 years plus market crashes always recover. Look at any long term chart.
