Executive summary
For all powerful people we have heard or even seen had at once a beginning and with that, its something which compels many to work hard to secure something for themselves in terms of material wealth. A s the writer, i have come to understand that for those who have excelled at the game of wealth creation most of them started as peasants and basically small in all their investments. This pushes me to the village and draw up plans of how to gain what matters for my future to come. Th trick is simple and it calls for a mindset with an open mind and willingness to invest.

My small beginnings start here

From the introductory remarks, when i completed university, i though so much on what i could do after school and i barely got answers from myself but through travelling and learning from many people who had started things enabled me to open up my mind to such ideas and concept and this is how am doing it now.

This Easter holiday has been a great one which granted me opportunity to go back to the village and conduct a pilot study around my small investments. This something i had taken long without doing, its a great idea we checked on our projects which we try to start and perhaps invest in.

Poultry farming
This was my first investment to cash in before other ideas came up, from this kind of rearing, i mainly deal with local birds which are a bit stress relieving because of their capability to move round on free range system. In doing this, am continuing to keep the tradition of how rearing birds is done on the African continent. I rear turkeys and mainly cocks with a few female birds mainly for hatching young ones which i sell. I have introduced kreilors which are a bit cross breed and am getting serious results from these birds.

Sugar cane growing
This is my biggest investment because of how much i have cashed in in the past seven months, iam growing these for sale to the neighboring sugar factory and this is something i can use as security incase of a loan. I personally didnt have the idea but i learnt this from my friend who started with just 2 acres but now having almost half a sub county in Mayuge district. I adjusted quickly with the same money i had earned from Sinohydro Engineering company where i work. It took a ridiculous sum of money because of acquiring land and the term and conditions attached as for the African setup when it comes to renting land for cultivation. This weekend has really showed me the way to go when it comes to starting something. The results are epic and nothing is holding me back when it comes to this business.

This business is good but it involves a lot of expenditures when it comes to labour and the inputs before you reap. This is something i learnt from two elevated figures from those men who built America called Andrew Carnegie and J.P Morgan. These people invested by buying off failing companies and returning them to profitability and in that case, such industries were spoiling the business world. From learning from them, i was willing to invest and do my thing with faith.

Food crops
With this kind of farming am trying to do is basically for commercial purposes and home use by my family. Am convinced that i will expand this to the export level but as i said, its a humble beginning in the area of farming and i think this will grant me more connections and agencies to pour their funds in my things. Sponsors are important to me because i want to go global as a food basket. Am dealing in basically matooke or banana as food crop. With the plantations starting like the pic, i am sure of employing many Ugandans on my field.

Conclusion
As a humble beginner out there, take note that there are many strongholds which normally pull people down and from that, it is the responsibility of your inner man to give you courage to take on any kind of competition. I have learnt that character is the key player in starting something and that determines how far you will end up.
