Keeping your iPhone's software up-to-date is very important for your phone's security, but Apple's latest iPhone update has revived a previously discovered vulnerability that makes it possible to “jailbreak a the phone. In other words, Apple's iOS 12.4 release, which was offered to users in July, contains a significant error found by Google security researchers.

A security researcher with the nickname wn Pwn20wned, released a jailbreak for iPhones on Monday. The researcher also says that the vulnerability of iOS 12.4 can be exploited in many ways, and that malware developers can access Apple's box sandbox to access stored data on your phone.

The jailbreak process also poses a huge risk to users due to the lack of firewalls that come with iOS. Apple has fought against this problem and in recent years began to take very harsh measures.

DO NOT INSTALL iOS 12.4 UPDATE

Some experts said that it is reasonable for users who have not yet installed the iOS 12.4 update to remain in the older version. However, since iOS 12.4 resolves other security issues found in the previous release, users are faced with either risk.

IOS 12.4 is not possible to return to phones updated. So there is no downgrade process. Therefore, any user using iOS version 12.4 should be more cautious about clicking on unknown links or applications they download.
