It's possible to remotely regulate matters in your house utilizing internet capable devices and their supporting software. Matters such as; heating, security and power.

Through voice commands or preconfiguration, tasks can be automated via workflows. Just imagine getting up at 5am in the morning your house will make a fresh pot of coffee. Followed by necessary lighting being switched on/off. Proceeding with turning on your shower, at the right temperature, as soon as you enter the bathroom. As a cherry ontop of your sunday, a nice catchy tune will be played throughout the house while the self driving car will set itself up, awaiting your departure.

However the story doesn't end just there. Got a tight schedule? No worries! You can configure your house up to the point that it will know when it's time to clean itself. This is achieved through advanced sensor technology. Wait, there's more! The house will also check if you have enough food for the next day. If not? It will order items from the stores who offer 'IOT' services.

But wait a sec. Who will accept the ordered items? What? The neighbor? But what if he isn't home? No worries! You will be notified through a compatible smart device of choice whenever your order arrives. Through said device you can remotely open the door and the trusted supplier will leave the order neatly behind. Trust issues? No problem! You will be able to see whether the delivery service does their job right by utilizing cameras installed in your home.

Prefer to go to the store yourself but you've forgotten whether there is enough milk in the house? No problem! Simply use your smart device of choice and look inside the fridge via it's internal camera. Funky!

The possibilities are (pretty much) endless. Think that's not true? How so? Ah maybe you're talking about physical interactions. Not too worried! Robots are in full development. It's expected by 2030 that over 2 billion jobs will be replaced by robots. Eventually these robots will be enhanced and become smart robots which we can remotely control and ... Oh wait, am I going a bit too far? Oops ...

What you've just read is only the tip of the iceberg. Know that 'IOT' services are being applied on matters outside of your home right now! Matters like; healthcare, education and for environmental purposes!

I think we can all agree that applying 'IOT' services for matters like I just described, are a tad more useful in comparison with a robot delivering a fresh cuppa joe to you in the morning!
