This is a major issue. I have resteemed for the ridiculousness of these justifications and to implore everyone involved with Iota to rethink it and to make sure they are being prudent.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
