To keep your iPhone or iPad safe, first of all we need to keep your phone updated. This is very important because when hackers see a decrease in iOS or an operating system, then Apple makes it more secure by updating it.
You can also make the OTA Update from the iPhone to the computer.

OTA UPDATE:

Go to Settings> General> Software Update If there is a software update showing it then download it and install it.

To Update Through iTunes:

Connect your iPhone to a computer, open iTunes and select your device at the top left window. After that click on Summary and click on Check For Update. If you had any updates, please download and update it. And if your phone is locked you may have to enter your passcode.

But keep in mind iTunes is very slow update, it will be better if you update your iPhone from OTA.

If someone also receives the password of your 2FA account, they will not be able to get the verification code from your Trusted Device.

Turn on 2FA on your iPhone:
