We don't have many waterfalls here in my area of Michigan, but I remember one quite near my home in a small hidden valley between sandstone walls very much like the one in this photo.
It was huddled between large beech and old sugar maple trees, the water dropped about 3 to 4 feet in crystal droplets, laughing over the rocks.
As a child, teenager and young man I would sneak off, settle down by the brook and listen to the waterfall while watching the wildlife.
This photo brought that back... Thank you for sharing.
