Well, wat is it, that scares the american world or being more general, the western world?

I was watching Homeland again a couple of days ago and stumbled upon the scene in whic Dana says in school "What if my father was a muslim?" and everyone is scared.

Later at home, Nick tells his wife that this is true and she also is scared about the fact. But why was my first thought? The man she sees, the one she married and she loves hasn't changed, just because he converted to Islam. People seem to get this wrong or simply believe the (this time true) fake news that are published via the media.

I am christ, but I love the Islam. There are so many parallel between all the religions we have in out world. The Christianity, the Judaism, the Islam, even the Buddhism all teach us peace and love. The Judaism (and with this also the Cristianity) also teach war like acts depending on what was experienced.

There have always been some fanatics that exploit their religion to justify their war, just think about the crusades. But it seems simple. Since the best people in the world (it's they way they thing about themselves) are christians, the Islam has to be bad, very bad. It's the same we experienced during third Reich. Adolf Hitler didn't like jews, so they were bad and had to be destroyed.

While I was traveling in islamic countries, I experienced the people living there as more friendly, more open showing more hospitality than I experienced anywere before in the western world. So many things and inventions relate to this old culture, why do we have to fear them and teach even our children that those people are bad?

I will raise my children being open for different cultures, open for different believes and being curious to find out what how everything realy is and to scrutinize what they are told.
