Forget Steem Milestones..

I've walked between towns many times in Ireland, never seen an actual milestone. They seem to be common in Isle of Man though.

    I haven't seen milestones in years but they were quite common before we began to upgrade the road network in the early 90s. I guess they were hanging around from before we went metric. Never saw a km stone 😀

    It's a milestone. They are on roads between towns, and tell you how far you are from those towns.

    But it feels to know milestones do exist.. They seem really scarce here in Ghana anyway.
