Duchesse De Bourgogne

Ritengo la birra Duchesse De Bourgogne, stile Red Flemish dell’antica fabbrica Verhaeghe una delle migliori del suo stile.

È stata la prima, lo confesso e forse per ciò mi ha talmente colpito che ad oggi è la mia preferita.
Certo non è che bevo flemish, oud o simili ogni giorno, anche solo per il fatto che non sono così facili da procurare, ed è per questo che vi propongo la mia prima recensione sulla degustazione.
Degustazione che risale a circa un anno fa.
L’ho definita spettacolare, dal sapore dolciastro con picchi di un elegante, leggero, oserei dire di classe, spunto di acetato/acidulo.
La consistenza della schiuma è un po’ più di cremoso, quasi aderente (che ho segnato in scheda). L’aspetto mi è apparso piuttosto limpido (che ho segnato) tendente al chiaro (non di colore ovviamente) cioè con evidenti passaggi di luce.
A naso, sensazioni forti e ben definite.
Bacche rosse, sentori di amarena, a tratti mela verde ed uva sultanina.
Miscela di sensazioni fruttate gradevolissime al palato e al retrogusto che rimane comunque corto o appena sufficiente, con le giuste bollicine in fase di risalita nella norma. Amaro tra l’assente e l’appena percettibile.
Birra più che gradevole. L’ho preferita abbinata a sapori forti quali gorgonzola, lupini a km 0 e ‘nduja calabra. Il tutto in un tripudio di sapori.

I think the Duchesse De Bourgogne beer, Red Flemish style of the old Verhaeghe factory, one of the best of its style.
It was the first one, I confess it and perhaps this is why I was so impressed that it is my favorite today.
Of course it is not that I drink flemish, oud or similar every day, even just because they are not so easy to procure, and that's why I propose my first review on the tasting.
Tasting that dates back to about a year ago.
I defined it as spectacular, with a sweetish taste with peaks of an elegant, light, I would dare to say of class, a starting point of acetate / acid.
The consistency of the foam is a bit 'more creamy, almost adherent (which I marked in the card). The appearance appeared to me rather limpid (which I have marked) tending to clear (not of color obviously) that is with evident passages of light.
A nose, strong and well-defined sensations.
Red berries, hints of black cherry, sometimes green apple and sultanas.
Blend of fruity sensations very pleasant on the palate and aftertaste that is still short or just enough, with the right bubbles in the phase of rising in the norm. Bitter between the absent and the barely perceptible.
Beer more than pleasant. I preferred it combined with strong flavors such as gorgonzola, lupini km 0 and 'nduja calabra. All in a riot of flavors.
