Ant Financial Services, an Alibaba Group affiliate has launched a blockchain-based remittance service that will allow for fast and cost-effective money transfers between Hong Kong and the Philippines.
The service brings together AlipayHK, Ant Financial’s Hong Kong venture, GCash, a Filipino initiative by Globe Telecom Inc, Standard Chartered Bank which will offer settlement services and CK Hutchison Holdings.
