I'm sure back then that kind of you know showed your intelligence of how many books you had in your library and so I was thinking about that and how like you know today we have a lot of people who are book collectors and we're just like
I have a love of books isn't that awesome and today I don't know if it necessarily has anything to do with like marking your intelligence or anything like that but it's definitely like really cool to see how many books
somebody has this goes back to what I was saying about Elizabeth about how things blow up in her face because of the things that she overhears and therefore assumes and she is proposed
to by mr. Darcy and his like hey I love you all this stuff and she's like come at me bro because I hear all this stuff about you what do you have to say for yourself and he just kind of goes let me think about that I'm gonna walk away now
before I say anything bad and I'm glad because of that and I'm glad that he very much treated her with respect when he wrote her that letter and was like you know I could be really really awful and mean and I could do
I don't think he says he can do horrible things but he's just kind of like you know you get the sense at least that like he could say really awful things to her because she's made these to the assumptions of him
and you know made his character seem really bad probably also to her mother because her mother doesn't seem to like him either but you know she he's like he totally explains his situation and explains mr. Wickham and how he should
really not he's the one who should not be trusted I have a love/hate relationship with Lydia Bennet because of the fact that she's just so forward and so like I can't believe you just said this this came out of your mouth to
your sisters who were other than you and who have been treating you with respect to your whole life and you're just kind of like hey it's okay if you become cat ladies I'll take you to the dances off pity you it's okay what in
the world is that it's just glad my sister never talks to me like that I like seeing mr. Darcy change throughout the novel because yes it's mostly how Elizabeth view of him change but you know you get to see him go from this
kind of cold opinionated character who verbally spars with Lizzie Bennet but you know he changes into this person who really cares about her and cares about her family and what becomes of them and
helping them not become a social pariah I'm just really glad that he is not just this cold character who's just I cared for myself and my money and that's it because that's who he's kind of painted
as at the beginning of the novel is just kind of like and I'm just here because I have to be and because mr. Bingley is my friend I also love the Elizabeth Bennet totally calls out mr. Wickham but you know she has that aura again that she
didn't call him out in front of a lot of people that she didn't tell other people and you know she just feels so like oh I should have done that and now I can't change that and you know that's kind of one of mr. Darcy steps and then goes
you know you don't need to save anybody I will help you and it's not necessarily and like know what you don't in this novel I know I'm tripping over my words but and that's not what you don't see
guys condescending to girls like you know they you know they're told to be submissive yes but it's not in a condescending manner and it's not in a way that's like oh you're less than me
or you know those kind of things because you know I know in these novels the girls want to be a head of a household because they're basically the queen of their household and yeah that kind of went on a bunny trail of sorts
I hope you enjoyed this discussion of Pride and Prejudice as much as I loved reading those Pride and Prejudice book of gloriousness ah I really did love this book it's definitely one of my favorite classic novels that I've read.
