we noticed this week running Unigine Heaven (benchmark tools apparently cost money today as well, sometimes about the price of a full game, if you know Square Enix, you know thats getting silly - no matter the rep) how windows gets the best marks on the same machine (which makes sense after all most stuff is originally written + tweaked for directx + windows has about +3 driver versions on linux (nvidia-525 for linux - nvidia528.xx for windows)
so there you have the 100 point differnce, but the lowest framerate was 8 on all
strange thing tho was that draugerOS, specially compiled FOR underdid standard linux mint 21 w Cinnamon (the "heavy" (but they call it "mid") desktop by 50+ points and later drauger after another update (probably from jammy, not drauger itself) jammy = ubuntu version me thinks it went down another 50
now if you go in-game actually you dont really notice the difference playing and it still stands that solace crafting for one thing had 5fps MORE on draugr (which isnt much ?)
which makes a difference if you're talking 15 or 20 fps (at 4k maxed out settings always checked) , not so much if you were to talk 130 - 135 on a 144 hz monitor (which ... well if VHS if 25 and thats enough for the human eye and cinematics might do 40 or something or 50 - a c64 does 50, a console 30 (laters maybe 60 but you'll need a tv which can handle that)

if we run unigine heaven 4 times on the same hardware config with the same os
we get 4 different point values, sometimes 100 apart (where windows 11 dx11 4k max settings gets 1300 max)

not the hardware itself on these machines
so the OS defines priority
strangely enough during benchmarking windows seems to halt whatever its doing during gaming or other stuff - maybe its already iWindows
