Tokyo Curry and why I love Japan

in japan •  6 years ago

This was my old neighbourhood in Tokyo. People would stand in line for curry before this place even opened around 11:30AM. I never got to try the curry but I would pass by sometimes and see them making it through the window. They curry guy seemed to love what he did and he put a lot of time into it.

Japanese people really take pride in what they do. That might mean making curry or cleaning their homes or drawing or studying English. And they're a humble people they don't like to brag. You'd meet someone and later find out they were a big time lawyer but they don't act like it. they could have been a 7-11 worker or something.

I miss that about Japan.
