How should you spell that distilled spirits, whisKY or whisKEY?

Generally, they say you should spell Scotch, Canadian, and Japanese as whisKY, and Irish and American as whisKEY. You can remember that America has lots of Irish immigrants.

That said, Joseph Patrick "Joe" Kennedy, Sr., father of President Kennedy, came from Ireland and make tremendous money importing Irish whiskey.

I read in a book that some British say they don’t need a “KEY” because they are self-disciplined, but Americans, without a “KEY”, will drink too much.

I think history of spirits is quite interesting and wanna study it and write about it.

Thank you.
