"Quantum by Quantum" (1983)

in jazz •  4 years ago

Quantum is a Brazilian group whose first album has a sound that combines elements of traditional progressive rock with clear influences of free-jazz in the style of the Canterbury scene. The album is characterized by being completely instrumental, with medium complexity and with a marked predominance of a very soft and melancholic guitar. In addition there are very enriching keyboard interventions that give a symphonic framework to the band. Quantum's music could be defined as a mixture between Camel and Caravan ... "Quantum" is a very beautiful album that has many interesting edges and whose seven tracks (six originals plus a bonus track) are very good, standing out "Theme Etereo "and" Sonata "... a highly recommended work to listen and relax ... =)
