What a weekend. The Squatch Buggy is Born!

in jeep •  6 years ago

If it ain't one thing it's another. The weekend started off with a simple oil change in my newest car. After the oil change the dealership told us we needed new tires. That was kind of expected as these have 80,000 miles on them and are the original tires on the car. Then they proceed to tell me the Crankshaft seal is blown and the Water pump is leaking and the air filter and cabin filter needed changed....

They said not to worry it was covered under warranty (not the filters) and would take 4hrs. 7.5hrs later it was done. Then off to get the other car for an oil change. This one also needed new tires but that was it. Tire shop was next on the list.

I've always had luck with Cooper tires and they are still made in the USA. 2 sets of tires set me back $1000. That was the lift money for my jeep. Then the filters for both cars was another $100 and I was dipping into my silver money. A few more little maintenance items and my cars were back to good with much lighter pockets.

That was when it dawned on me. SCREW THE CHEROKEE LIFT KIT! It's a Jeep and will get me to most anywhere I need to camp this year. All my spare money is going into the Classic Jeep Wagoneer. It already runs great, is lifted and will be worth more in the end. I can pick up a nice lifted Cherokee around here for under $4000.

Then I started thinking of a name for her. It took a while to come up with something original. Everyone calls theirs Waggy or Woody so those were out.

After a little thinking I started looking at my coins. Then I saw it!

After all this is where I'll be doing my camping.

This will be the the Squatch Buggy!!!

I still have to check but I think the personalized plate that says SQUATCH should be available. That will be her name. Just look at this beauty. Plenty of room in the back to stretch out and sleep. The Cherokee wasn't long enough to camp in the back and would have to set up a tent.

Good thing I looked to my coins for the answer. Now I have to extra hustle to make back my silver money and more Jeep money. If the socialist don't take over, maybe I'll even get a tax return.

Great looking jeep!

It should be pretty sweet when I'm done with it.

My 'lil brother had a madator with a 360, it was a tire frying machine! Oh the good old days...
Squatch seems a fitting name.

My nephew has an old Javelin he is working on. It has the 360 and sounds like a beast. Have you started working on the Honda yet?

It's torn down to just about a shell, then I had my surgery. So I'm almost able to get back on it.

Hehehe... our precious coins are an answer in itself to many things, LOL! I named all my vehicles, and "Squatch" sure connotes many things!

I name all my vehicles too. Been many many names along the way. LOL. I can't wait to see what they say when I ask if that plate is already taken.

Have Fun, but if a UFO lands near your camp site and a Bug eyed short greeny grey guy with something that looks like a giant enema, first back out, second ...then run!

LOL. Hopefully they will be the cool ones and take me for a quick ride.
