February 9, 2017 is one of the most significant date for the Jehovah's Witnesses in Samar and Leyte Islands. This is the day for dedication of the Remote Translation Office for Waray-Waray, the native dialect of Samarnons and Leyteños. The said office is located in Banezville II Subd., Tacloban City.
This is where Bible literatures, which they receive from the world headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses in Warwick, New York, are translated from English to Waray-waray for the benefit of local readers.
Delegates from the whole region were invited to witness the event. I had the privilege to attend the entire program which was held in Leyte Academic Center Gymnasium, Palo, Leyte;
And enjoyed the tour around the facility as well.
