Daily spiritual reflections on the bible: Why do you call me good? Jesus answered. Luke 18:19

Jesus when explaining the doctrine of the Kingdom of God affirms that only God is good and wise, that is only God is perfect; for man the good , the righteousness is a progressive path to eternal life (contemplative life or worship of the wisdom); also the concept of the good (righteousness, Matthew 7:12) cannot be framed within the law of Moses: "Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.", Matthew 5:48.
The good is a grace, a charism, a gift from the holy spirit that is beyond human forces, the good is not a moral virtue, it is not something that through practice we can acquire it as happens with prudence or justice. We cannot follow Jesus when we are tied to the pleasures of the world; when the logic is to have fun and a good time, the path to spiritual enlightenment (Gnosis) does not make sense.
If we love wealth, we cannot enter to the empire, dominion, government of righteousness (Matthew 7:12), as happens to the rich young man who meets Jesus:
"´Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?´
So Jesus said to him, ´Why do you call me good? Jesus answered. No one is good but one, that is God. You know the commandments: ´Do not commit adultery´, ´Do not murder´, ´Do not steal´, ´Do not bear false witness´, ´Honor your father and your mother´´.
And he said, ´All these thing I have kept from my youth´.
So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, ´You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me´.
But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he has very rich.
And when Jesus saw he became very sorrowful, he said, ´How hard is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!. For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God!.´", Luke 18:18-25.

This rich young man turns away from Jesus because he asks out of curiosity, to give a good impression, but without any underlying intention, that is, without any intention of the heart to follow the teachings of Jesus, and the good is not a mask, it is a path.
God judges the discernments, the intentions of the mind, not the masks: "A person may think their own ways are right, but the LORD weighs the heart", Proverbs 21:2.
Those who seek the good and the truth cannot love money, and this is the true spiritual choice of background.
