Jesus and Nicodemus: Introduction to Gnosis

The gospel of the disciple John is not a synoptic gospel. This gospel has marked differences with the gospels of Mark, Matthew and luke. The gospel of John is the gospel of the eternal life and the gnosis.
The gospel of John, unlike the synoptic gospels, tells us about the encounter of Jesus and the doctor of the law Nicodemus, is in this encounter that Jesus reveals to Nicodemus the secrets of the Gnosis.
"Now there was a Pharisee,a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said: "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him".
Jesus replied: "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again".
How can someone be born when they are old? Nicodemus asked.
Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother's womb to be born!
Jesus answered: "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying: "You must be born again". The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the spirit". John 3:1-8

The wind is often compares with the Holy Spirit in the Bible. The Gnosis is the change of heart and mind through the progressive mentality and the piety. The Gnosis is a form of meditation with a result, the perceptions of the divine truths, is in essence the inner act of enlightenment.
Nicodemus is a doctor of the law, and he do not understand the Gnosis, he said: "Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother's womb to be born!". Nicodemus is a natural man, or to say, a man who live according to the flesh. The natural man does not understand the spiritual truths, Nicodemus is a blind man.
The knowledge of Gnosis gives bith to the spritual man: God in the gnosis transforms us to his likeness and gives us his essence, his wisdom. Remember that there are 3 types of man: the natural man in which prevails the flesh, the rational man in which prevails the soul, and the spiritual man in which prevails the spirit. The Gnosis is the fruition of the spIritual gifts in the love of God, the Agape.
