Jesus in Matthew 21:42 teach to us: "The Stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone, the Lord has done this". This is the conclusion of the Parable of the Tenants.
God is the vineyard and Jesus his son. Jesus with this parable is explaining to us that things are black or white, friends or enemies, good or evil, false or true. In spirituality there are not intermediate states, like the gray. In front of the kingdom of God we have to choose between the flesh or the spirit, we are friends or enemies of God.
Learning to think like this is very important because sometimes, when the confusion is great, wolves appear in sheep's clothing, talking about the intermediate states.
The stone the builders rejected has become the cornestorne; the Lord has done this. Said Jesus in Matthew 21 42.jpg
The parable unfolds like this:
"Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit.
The tenants seized his servants; they beat one, killed another, and stoned a third. Then he sent other servants to them, more than the first time, and the tenants treated them the same way. Last of all, he sent his son to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said.
But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, "This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance." So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?
"He will bring those wretches to a wretched end", they replied, "and he will rent the vineyard to other tenants, who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time."" Matthew 21:33-41
Jesus concludes that he personifies the wisdom of God on which all is built, he is the cornerstone, he is the "son of man". As is explained in the parable of the Tenants, people should be judged for their actions, good or bad, for that, many are called but few are chosen. Because of the hardness of hearts, many reject the dominion, the empire of the perfections of God, the dominion of the mercy, the empire of godliness...
