The things of this world are temporal, eternity is forever, why satisfy temporal desires when you can be in the presence of Almighty God and enjoy ultimate satisfaction and fulfillment? Any good, any beauty, any enjoyment you experience in this world is exponentially incomparable to what awaits in the presence of God.

you can accumulate all the wealth in the world, none of it is going with you, Matthew 16:26 "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" there is nothing wrong with wealth, but you must not place wealth over your Creator, your Creator deserves you attention and obedience, you are unique and significant, God gave His life for you when you had nothing to offer, shouldn't you revere Him, honor and obey Him?
