Of the plausible House speaker candidates to this point, he's the worst, because by far the most MAGA/Trumpist.

Apply to become Speaker of the House!
Excellent pay and benefits. Great power and prestige.
No experience required!
But also:
Zero job security.
Treacherous, backstabbing colleagues.
Bootlicking skills a plus (may be needed for occasional business trips to Mar a Lago).
On a slightly more serious note, if this circus would actually lead to lower spending and/or other improvements in policy, I would be all for it! But it almost certainly won't. We'll be lucky if it doesn't make things even worse.
