You've done your research and know what issues your target market has that you can help with. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, check out this blog post before reading on.
Now you gotta get busy creating marketing content!
I have two different info products I market online and have created content for both. The first of which is my eBook, which came together after going through an affiliate/internet marketing course. You can receive a free intro to that training by entering your email address in the footer of any page on my site. I took tons of notes during training and put some of that info into my eBook.
I used Graphix Creator to make my eBook cover, which comes with the affiliate/internet marketing training I just mentioned. I filmed a short video to show you how easy it is. Remember to opt into your competitor's email lists, so you can see what they're saying and doing. There's no need to reinvent the wheel. Do what the successful online marketers are doing.
Blog posts are some of the easiest content to create. Don't try to be someone you're not. Just write about your experience. If you're not a writer, no worries. Once you start blogging, it will come more naturally. If you need ideas for content, check out my blog post on the Top 10 Blog Post Ideas. Also check out my blog post on the Best Blog Format.
People blog for two main reasons, to add keyword-rich pages to their websites and to make money through affiliate marketing. I wrote a blog post about affiliate marketing here. When you're advertising, you can either create evergreen content that's on your website for the search engines to find forever, or you can pay to advertise. The issue with paying for advertising is that the content is gone and off the internet when your paid advertising term is up so I utilize both methods. I create evergreen content AND pay for advertising.
Another strategy is to create a blog post or video series that leads to a landing page. The idea is to build trust and credibility throughout the blog post or video series so that people are more likely to buy once you ask them to.
If you've not signed up to receive the FREE 7-Day video series, you might consider entering your email address at the bottom of my website and then you'll see exactly what I mean. You'll see the emails I put together and also receive 7 emails from the internet marketing company that I'm learning from.
For MattsWeddingCeremonies.com, I wrote down every potential problem and solution I could think of to help people who get ordained online to officiate weddings for friends or family. I came up with 16 different problems or issues and explained how I deal with each one in 16 different blog posts. I then took excerpts from those blog posts and turned them into an email campaign. When people who visit my site opt in to receive my wedding rehearsal guide, they automatically start receiving my 16 emails from my autoresponder.
You must have an autoresponder that sends emails so you don't have to. I use Aweber, as it's the most bang for the buck. I pay around $20/month.
ANYONE with knowledge to share can put together an email series. The idea is to give away valuable info in exchange for someone's email address.
Simple Green Smoothies does it by emailing seven smoothie recipes seven days in a row. If they can do it, you can do it too! Physical trainers can write about and film training exercises. Gardeners can write about and film common nutrient deficiencies and remedies. Electricians and plumbers can write about the most common issues they see and how to fix them, and film it! The possibilities are limitless. There's always someone out there who wants to know what YOU know.
The landing page is another piece of content you must create, unless you're sending people directly to your website. Landing pages are generally preferable to entire websites because there's nowhere for people to click to navigate away from the page. It's one page with a place for people to opt in with their email address to receive whatever you're offering in exchange. I'll show you how in the video here: https://islandtimeliving.com/how-to-create-passive-income-on-the-internet-and-go-into-business-for-yourself-creating-marketing-content-part-3-create/
A great strategy I use to help generate ideas for content is Google Alerts. I filmed a video on how to use Google Alerts here, in my how to find blog post ideas video. Google Alerts is a great service and I mostly use it to share helpful and interesting articles on my different Facebook pages. View the video I made on using Google Alerts here: here: https://islandtimeliving.com/how-to-create-passive-income-on-the-internet-and-go-into-business-for-yourself-creating-marketing-content-part-3-create/
Posting other people's content to my Facebook pages not only allows me to stay active, so that Facebook's algorithm favors my pages, but also gives me a vault of info for future blog posts and content ideas.
Re-purposing your content makes life much easier. Write a blog post to then turn into a video for YouTube. Use Printfriendly.com to turn your blog post into a PDF and upload that PDF article to Ezines.com or Issuu.com. This is often called, "syndication." In other words, it's time to distribute marketing content and drive traffic to a blog, landing page, or website. I'll cover that in my next post.
My goal is to show you how to make passive income on the internet and go into business for yourself so in my next post, I'll detail a few ways to create content, followed by my syndication strategy.
If you've not seen the FREE 7-day video series that will show you how it's possible to go into business for yourself quickly, enter your info at the very bottom of my website and I'll email it to you.
