Rome wasn’t build in a day. Rome didn’t fall apart over night either. It took hundred of year to Rome to reach its peak, but it also took time, hundreds of years for Rome to decay and fall apart. And that is representative of life, because you don’t achieve worldwide success quickly or easily, they take time.

Things do not fall apart quickly either. At least at first. It’s a slow process. Little slip here… Little step back over there… A little wearing down of a discipline and will overtime.

Success and failure are generally slow processes. Either slowly building things up, or gradually tearing them down.

“Every second counts. So pay attention” — Jocko Willink

So this second, when you reading this sentence, that second counted. And so the following one. In those seconds you either building or you are decaying. You either gaining ground, or you are loosing ground.

Couple of days ago, I wrote an article on compound interest, and how I think it can be used also outside of financial world. This article it a great complement to this one.

Because every choice you make is build on top of all the other choices which you made before.

Yes, If you want to start to to work out, and you never did it before, it will be hard. But soon you achieve momentum and it will be very hard to stop you. In fact, I believe that you would be unstoppable until you make choices, which builds a ground under your feet.

I saw a great video this morning, which greatly shows this long process. How small choices matters over time. Watch it. And after that, pay attention. Because it matters what choices you make.

I want to thank Jocko Willing for being who he is and for outstanding work which he do with his podcasts. Also I want to thank everybody who stands behind Project Better Self Youtube channel. They did amazing job with video above.
