The man everybody knew as John Davidson was a “facade”.
To a few he was the “Fool that Never was”,
To many he was the “Village Idiot”,
He often use to say “Nobody Ever Suspects the Village Idiot”.
John was indeed a man of mystery!
John portrayed himself as a jolly Joker, making quick witted humour that was mainly directed at himself, or his wife & family, he left many people dumb founded with his warped sense of humour and they,
“Really knew not what to think of him”.
If you could break through John’s facade and accept the person he really was, you found qualities of “Sincerity Integrity Respect”
John was a wise man who loved the hated.
John was an honest man whom knew what was true.
John was a “worker”
He said “He went on holiday once & had fun and he didn’t like it!”
He preferred to work, for John, work was “Enjoyment”
John considered he never worked a day in his life, because what he did in his life was fun for him & he enjoyed it immensely, it was not hard for him!
John trained hard at “Karate” he attended every class in Timaru, he travelled twice a week to Geraldine teaching classes @ his Four Peaks Seido Karate Club, John worked hard looking after his home environment, John worked hard in his businesses, he relentlessly made & repaired fishing nets, trained in Karate, helped out on the Warf loading & unloading ships & boats & being a nuisance to those who deserved it, John visited the sick in hospital, John supported the accused in court, John was not a judgmental man,
“John was the instrument of justice”
John Davidson Lived his life as he chose
John loved his life.
John was successful in living a good honest life until his death!
