Hello Steemians,

Here's my entry Crash Course in Journalism, Lesson 2. I based it on A Christmas Carol, a book by Charles Dickens.

Scrooge Gets Christmas Spirit!
Friends and neighbors of Ebenezer Scrooge report a dramatic change in his behavior and attitude towards Christmas. Apparently, Mr. Scrooge purchased a large turkey for the Crachit family’s Christmas dinner and donated a large sum of money to a local charity. According to witnesses, Scrooge has never done anything like this in the past, “In fact, he was quite miserly with his wages.” Stated Bob Crachit, Scrooge’s longtime employee. Even Scrooge’s nephew Fred reported that Scrooge came over for Christmas dinner for the first time in Fred’s life. “I invited him every year and all he ever said was “Bah Humbug”!

    Hi @ken-and-jane . This is a very good opening paragraph. It certainly made me want to continue reading. I like how you took an event from a fiction story and made it into a news item.
