Hello friends! We are currently preparing for our Japan & South Korea trip in September.

Flights are booked and the AirBnb's are booked. Japan visa is ready and Korean visa still pending. We are also about to order the Japan Rail Pass for 7 days.

We hope we made good choices with our staying locations:
Japan in Shinjuki Shibuya area, 4min walk from 初台-Hatsudai station.
South Korea in Jung-gu, near or even in Myeongdong.

Let us know what you think about these areas please :)

We still have to plan for the 7 days where we have the Japan Rail Pass. Probably Kyoto, Osaka, Mount Fuji are within those days. Any recommendations are welcome.

And if ever you have connections to get a table at Sukiyabashi Jiro or Sushi Saito, please let us know. We really want to go there :)

We will update you about all the progress. Stay tuned for our Japan & South Korea trip!
If you are a YouTuber / Vlogger and would like to connect, then let us know please.

Love, Shinifer and Dani

we will :) Thank you!

I travelled in Japan in March for 3 weeks using the rail pass... i visited Tokyo Kyoto Osaka Hiroshima Nara Kanazawa Matsumoto Fujikawaguchiko and Tokyo again... personally I thought Osaka was the least impressive of them all. Nara on the other hand was fun to visit.

Wow cool! Will go through your Japan posts and pictures! Thanks a lot! May we know how many hours it takes from Tokyo to Kyoto? Because our base will stay in Tokyo and we would just do day trips but always go back to Tokyo...we will google the other destinations you have wrote down too :)

Nevermind we just discovered your blog post about the bullet trains :) so it's 135min hehehe

Really? I think thats a waste of time honestly...travelling back and forth to Tokyo. Tokyo itself is a destination to stay, but so is Kyoto. Actually to get the most out of Kyoto you would need 2 days there so I recommend a 1 night stay there...why dont you check to see what there is in Kyoto and you will see its too much to see in 1 day, including wasting 5 hours of travelling time between Kyoto and Tokyo.

good input, yeah maybe go in the morning towards kyoto or even further and spend one night in kyoto.

we'll see, still have to plan it with my friends :)

I do recommend spending two days. You know why? Because the two things you would definitely want to see are on both sides on the city and both take more than half a day if you dont want to rush through it.

i would plan to do the same, what are your tricks for planning to japan and korea? i am defiantly following you!

Actually we are total of 6 people :) taking the holidays and booking the flights was fortunately the easiest part. Checking the AirBnB's and chosing the location took a little more time.

But now, planning the day trips, is a bit harder :D hope we will manage everything hehehe

Hatsudai is great place to stay. Near to shinjuku and silent area. I live in the Hatsudai..

Glad to hear that!! It was not easy to decide the location if you don't know the area! :) but we knew we wanted to be near Shinjuku

yeah.. Uts convenient place.. please contact me.. If you are ok, I send more information about shinjuku..with your travel concepts. and For kyoto day trip is not recommend. Kyoto is 2 days more better to taste..

Ok I will contact you when we are there? We have the Japan Rail Pass and I think we will go to Kobe in the morning and then Kyoto afterwards. Then we stay 1 night in Kyoto. The next day Kyoto again and Osaka.

I think great plan. Kobe is harber city and osaka is intersting place to visit. If you have any questions, Let me know

Thank you very much!!!!
