Juicing...Getting Nutrients for Life!

in juicing •  7 years ago  (edited)

I had juiced prior to my diagnosis, but this is one thing I will continue to do for the rest of my life; even if I take a break here and there. Juicing, I believe, is something you will always come back to.
The best thing to juice for any disease, in my opinion; treatment or prevention, is vegetables. Not fruit. Although fruit is good for you, the sugar content is much greater. When juicing, the purpose and benefit is to be able to consume more nutrients into your body. Juicing, therefore, is a much easier way to get large amounts of vitamins and nutrients into your body than trying to eat the same amount as vegetables. So when you juice fruit, the sugar is going to enter your bloodstream much quicker than if you are eating fruit.
Where to start?...the basic foundation of your juice should always be cucumbers and celery. They both provide the ability to detox. Along with those, add dark green veggies, like kale, spinach, and broccoli to name a few. If you would like to sweeten your green juice add a green apple as opposed to red. Green apples have nutrients that aid in cancer prevention and prevent blood sugar spikes, and many other benefits. You can juice all green vegetables to better your health. Just look them up to find out exactly what your getting or what you need. I even juice green cabbage, carrots, arugula, and ginger. Here is a link if you'd like to learn more: FMTV.com
