Moon Tree Almost
Last night, (4-8-19), about 10:30 PM, I got this shot of a small crescent moon just over the trees. I am still very new to digital photography, and extremely new to trying to get pictures of the moon. My Blood moon shots were not that great and it has been that long since I tried a nighttime shot again. It was a very bright crescent of a moon. The sun is setting around 9:10 PM, so the moon was still getting a good shot of sunshine. A little less exposure would have been better I think.
This was pretty much only fixed in Corel, and it started out as Nef/Raw file. I finally remembered to turn that function on in my camera. The camera JPG file was not as bright or easy to manipulate as this was, so I may do some more Nef/Raw photo edit playing while I learn. I do like the way I was able to bring the cloud glow out in the Nef/Raw image, I think it looks pretty good except for the strong crescent white I just could not mute that down any with any settings I tried, so next try I need to remember and to try and take some underexposed pictures and see if that will help. I am waiting on a nice night to try a full on stars only shot with no moon.
