The Mantis LPR1x
By Terran-Labs.

A complete survival-suite, designed to keep you alive
long enough for extraction.

The suite includes a host of environmental sensors,
displaying relevant ambient data, such as temperature, humidity,
and compass bearing.

Power-metering data can be cycled at rear of device,
to display percentage, or voltage remaining, in cells.

Cells can be accessed through rear-hatch in case of manual charging.

(note, compass may be unreliable off-world,
to be used as an E M F guide only).

Above the power-cell-hatch is a small emergency solar-panel,
designed to trickle-charge the battery, when exposed to incoming visible-frequencies.

The right-side compartment includes a space-marine, standard-issue tactical-knife,
this may be your greatest asset.
Misuse is ill advised.

Arming the device is achieved via a master switch which is accessed through front hatch.

Closing hatches, makes for a water-resistant design.
Do not saturate.

Arming device initiates a delayed power-up, as sequentially the various systems come online.

Within three seconds all systems should be active.

The left side compartment holds a switch, used to engage a flashlight.
Useful for dimly lit environments or for signalling purposes.

The device offers close-range counter-measures by way of front-mounted, high-voltage defensive prongs. Capable of delivering around 20-30 thousand volts of electrical energy via contact.

Useful for hunting, melee, ignition, or electronic disruption of circuitry.
This can be initiated by button switch located at the rear of device.
Misuse is ill advised.

The primary weapon on the Mantis
is a powerful 15 watt, 450 nano-metre laser.

Targeting is made by a separate red-dot laser located with the environmental sensors along the devices spine.

The power of the cutting laser is scalable, depending on how hard the trigger is pressed, with an upper limit of 15 watts.
Its Trigger is located on rear of device, abreast of the pistol grip.

The main laser is cooled by three heat-sink fan-clusters.
The focussable laser-head is capable of offence, defence, dazzling/incapacitating, burning, cutting, signalling, or remote detonation.

Do not look directly into beam
without appropriate protective eye-wear.

Remember to power down device between uses.
Device is safely rechargeable with any 10-15 volt D C power-source or the provided 12 volt panel.
