THE MOTIVATOR by Ken Killeen

This is a quick demonstration of a small device which I threw together using some spare parts...
I call it, The Motivator.
As I see its potential for misuse, I will not be providing build video instructions, as with any weapon. I will however be using it for demonstrating physical phenomena -coronal discharge, arcs, etc. and home made instruments, such as the electroscope which I showed you how to build a few videos back.
Being capable of generating 40-70kV, this is definitely not a toy(!), and I need even higher HV ranges for my electrostatic and levitation experiments and would not recommend playing around with such things without being aware of risk.
All seriousness aside, I hope at least the device will provide a few seconds of entertainment for you as we see it fire up.
