Is Keto Healthy for Everyone?
Diet culture can be found just about anywhere. The societal pressure to lose weight is everywhere, whether it's as obvious as weight-loss supplements and detox teas or as subtle as a "healthy eating regimen" (looking at you, Noom). Finally, explanations of what to eat and when to consume it can be found all over the internet – particularly on social media – and proponents of the ketogenic diet (also known as keto) provide a step-by-step guide on what to avoid.
Keto isn't for everyone, and it can really do more harm than good. Although it may appear to be a rapid way to lose weight, the hazards to one's mental and physical health greatly outweigh the "benefits."
