In contrast, on the keto diet, the distribution occupies 5% carbohydrates, 25% protein and 70% fat.
“By drastically reducing carbohydrate intake, from which the body gets its energy, the body's glucose reserves are depleted; in this way, they are forced to look for another source: fat ”, explains the professional.
The duration of this diet depends on the objective to be achieved, for this adaptation are necessary. In general, it is carried out strictly for 30 days, and if the goal is still not achieved, a week is taken off, in which carbohydrate consumption is increased, and then the strict keto diet is returned to.
The diet can last only a month, like a whole year with intermittent rest every four weeks.
