What's up with the ketogenic diet?

The picture you included represents me mentally.

The ketogenic diet is also used to treat epilepsy and is very effective for that usage.

I didnt know that.

The media took notice it in the 1970 with the famous Atkins Diet which was invented by Dr. Atkins who claimed that you can lose weight without eating carbohydrates, only fats and protein.

How do you feel about the way Dr. Atkin died?

eat low fat and high carbohydrate diet which got many people sick because the fat was replaced by sugar.

I think this is oversimplifying things - sugar is a generic term. Sugar can be cooked or raw. Simple or complex.

The Ketogenic diet is a diet that can be used for losing weight quickly and effectively reducing hunger and cravings because of the slow release of fatty acids and protein in the bloodstream.

long-chain carbs release slowly as well... macrobiotics FTW!

I'm not a proponent of high fat diets i don't eat like that. I eat a balanced diet. But thought that people need to be informed before they make a decision. And yes sugar is generic term but every carbohydrate is converted to glucose which is a type of sugar.
