Hello everyone! I'm back with another update on our progress.
Development
Development is going well so far. We're still in the design stages of our auditing product. Right now our priority is determining the categories of sensitive data that we want to monitor. We're using HIPAA and GDPR as guideposts for what to detect, and are researching the exact blockchain framework to use for this part. Our options are Ethereum, Hyperledger, and R3 Corda. I'm personally leaning towards Ethereum since it's cheaper and Turing-complete, but the devs tell me that Hyperledger is slightly more secure and orders of magnitude faster. I've created a list of considerations, including how our HHT will play into this, that we'll address in our weekly touch base next week. Our next objective besides those questions is to see if there are any open-source tools that we can use to lower our costs further.
We still have ~130 billable hours left in the design phase, which they burn through at roughly 30 hours a week. So by the looks of it, this phase will be done in 5 weeks. Progress is being made!
Sanford
So recently we got an email from Sanford Health out of South Dakota, inquiring about our project. It's really cool, since we don't even have an MVP and they're the biggest hospital chain in the Dakotas. They're interested in a product demo when one's ready, and today they had me in a roundtable with the IT C-suite on the use of blockchain in healthcare. Went all right. They're great people and curious about the tech. Regardless of whether or not they remain interested, it was good practice. I'm optimistic since they actively sought us out without marketing or anything. It really gives us hope that our products and ideas are turning heads, so fingers crossed we can execute on that interest when it becomes time.
That's about it. Slow and steady, as per normal. If y'all have anything you want to know or have ways these updates could be more useful to you, I'm more than willing to listen. If not, thanks for reading, and talk soon.
